Dr. W. Steen James, board-certified in Pediatrics, began her medical career as an R.N., later earning her undergraduate degree in early childhood development from Howard University in Washington, D.C. She received her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine, and completed her pediatrics internship and residency at Emory University Hospital, training at both Egleston Children’s and Grady Hospital, where she was Chief Resident.
Dr. James is a pediatrician in Peachtree City, Georgia, and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (Scottish Rite and Egleston Children’s Hospitals), and Emory University Midtown Hospital. She has been in practice for more than 30 years. Dr. James’s commitment is to the entire health of her patients: mind, body, and spirit. Her passion is the wellness of children and their families.
