MSM offers multiple core and program services to support and enhance researchers.

Administrative

The Center Director and Director of Administration and Finance (DAF) are assisted by the Research Administrator and Administrative Assistant in providing program and fiscal management, as well as coordination of internal and external collaborations and faculty development efforts.

Biomedical Informatics

The integration of MSM and affiliated health information systems -- electronic medical and personal health records, patient databases, and other research databases (basic, translational, clinical and population-based) -- into an interoperable repository.

Bionutrition

Committed to reducing health disparities in at risk ethnic minority populations and the underserved through the pursuit of excellence in nutrition research in both clinical and community settings.

Clinical Operations Core

The Clinical Operations Core consists of experienced, skilled nurses and laboratory technicians who demonstrate a high level of clinical expertise, critical thinking, and complex decision-making skills. They are responsible for protecting the study participant and administering clinical services.

Clinical Research Coordinators

The Research Coordinator Core provides a wide range of research coordination and management services at an hourly rate. We assist with recruitment, screening, consenting, and overall conduct of study visits. This includes facilitating focus groups, interviews, questionnaires, lab processing, and more.

Clinical Trials Office

The Clinical Trials Office (CTO) provides a central and comprehensive program of financial, legal, and administrative support to the research community at Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM).

Human Physiology Laboratory

To provide the technical and analytical support for various clinical research projects in which the modalities of cardiovascular ultrasound imaging/hemodynamic and cardiometabolic functions are employed in humans.

Investigational Drug

The Investigational Drug Service (IDS) of the Morehouse School of Medicine is responsible for the consistent and centralized management of pharmaceutical/investigational drug protocols used in human subject research, at all sites under the Clinical Research Center (CRC).

Regulatory

The Regulatory Core works in partnership with study team members to successfully navigate the clinical research regulatory landscape throughout the lifecycle of a study. The primary goal of the core is to ensure the safety of research subjects participating in studies conducted at MSM.

Research Design & Biostatistics

A shared MSM resource in support of internal and external clinical research collaborations. Biostatistics, study design and, and secured data management are indispensable components of clinical and translational research.

Research Engagement

Engagement offers a comprehensive suite of services that aim to support programs and studies in the field of clinical research. These services encompass a wide range of activities that are critical to the success of research projects.
