The Georgia Department of Community Health Information Technology and Transparency (HITT) Advisory Board

MSM participated in forum conducted by the State of Georgia's Department of Community Health. The focus of this initiative was to convene health care stakeholders interested in supporting the development of a statewide approach to Health Information Exchange and discusses the roles and opportunities for state and local governments, the private sector, health care providers, public health and others interested in advancing the meaningful use of electronic health information exchange in Georgia. In addition, to review and provide feedback on the state's involvement in HIT related activities and funding opportunities outlined in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009.

As a result of MSM's involvement with this forum, MSM was able to secure $10 Million data coordinating site (Dr. Dominic Mack). This project is ongoing.
