Dr. Noor Mohamed, PharmD, is the Director of the investigational Drug Service (IDS) at Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM), where he leads the Investigational Drug Service research pharmacy operations and supports principal investigators across all units of the Clinical Research Center. Since joining Morehouse School of Medicine in 2020 as a Clinical Research Pharmacist, he has played a key role in ensuring protocol integrity, regulatory compliance, and the safe and effective handling of investigational drugs in studies focused on addressing health disparities and advancing health equity.
Originally from Somalia, Dr. Mohamed earned his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health from the University of Georgia and his Doctor of Pharmacy from Florida A&M University. He is a licensed pharmacist in the state of Georgia and brings deep expertise in investigational drug management, patient counseling, and medication monitoring and management. He is frequently consulted on clinical trial protocols involving pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, exclusion criteria, and adverse effect profiles.
Dr. Mohamed also serves as a preceptor for fourth-year pharmacy students from Mercer University College of Pharmacy and contributes to teaching in areas such as pharmacogenomics and ethics. Fluent in Somali and dedicated to culturally competent care, he is active in his community-engaging underserved populations through education, health fairs, and direct outreach to build trust and improve access to clinical research and healthcare services.
Outside of work, Dr. Mohamed enjoys learning new languages, traveling, and spending time with his family.
