Atuarra McCaslin is a seasoned research engagement leader with more than twenty years of experience mobilizing communities around health, policy, and social challenges. For the past decade, he has served at Morehouse School of Medicine, where he currently holds the position of Associate Director for Research Engagement within the Clinical Research Center. In this role, he leads strategic efforts to strengthen community trust, expand participation in clinical research, and design culturally responsive engagement frameworks that advance health equity.

 

His professional journey spans community organizing, political engagement, and program leadership—expertise that uniquely positions him to bridge academic research with the lived experiences of diverse communities. Atuarra specializes in translating complex data and insights into clear, actionable strategies that support both scientific rigor and meaningful community participation.
