Research Center on the Impact of Climate Change and Environmental Factors on Health

Mission and Program. The mission of the Research Center on the Impact of Climate Change and Environmental Factors on Health shall be to better understand and map the interdependencies between the environment, climate change and health and their impact on Black/African American and other communities of color in the United States, with an emphasis on reducing health disparities. In alignment with the multi-partner Impact of Climate Change and Environmental Factors on Health Workstream of the Beacon of Hope Collaboration, the Center shall agree to milestones and Key Performance Indicators (as initially defined in Section III.D) to be regularly tracked, and transparently reported to gage effectiveness of this Grant, and trigger subsequent payments. Key Performance Indicators should be centered around peer-reviewed publications, non-peer reviewed publications (including but not limited to outlook reports and technical reports) and keynote/panel sessions at appropriate events addressing climate health equity interventions. These milestones may be expanded upon via the co-creation within the Workstream, with MSM and the Foundation mutually agreeing to any changes for tracking and reporting in the scope of this Grant.
